Once you've decided on your domain and acquired it from a domain registrar (for example, GoDaddy), you need to connect the domain to your eCom store.
- On the left menu of the Back Office, go to Settings > Website Settings > Domains.
- Click Add a domain.
- In the Domain name box, enter your subdomain, type '.' and then add your custom domain. For example: www.yourdomain
NOTE 1: A subdomain is required. You can choose any subdomain, such as www. shop. store. buy. etc. See Making your domain without 'www.' accessible for more info.
- Choose the appropriate top level domain suffix, such as .com, .net, .ca or .nl.
- Click Save.
- Take note of the domain instructions that display:
When you add your domain to your online store, the CONNECT YOUR DOMAIN screen displays. You will need this information when configuring the DNS settings for your domain.NOTE 2: You can access the CONNECT YOUR DOMAIN instructions again by going to Settings > Website Settings > Domains and selecting CONNECT YOUR DOMAIN.
