The PayPal Seller Protection is designed to return the full amount of the payment if you receive an unauthorized payment, a dispute of items not received, chargebacks or reversals. The PayPal Seller Protection policy is available to PayPal account holders from specific countries if your account and order processing workflow meet their eligibility criteria.

- Go to the PayPal legal agreements page.
- Find and select your location in the dropdown menu.
- Select User Agreement for PayPal Service
- Find and read the section pertaining to Seller Protection.
Although the requirements to be eligible for PayPal Seller Protection may vary by country, here is a summary for your information:
- PayPal will identify shipping addresses as either confirmed or unconfirmed when you visit the Transaction Details page in your PayPal account.
- Confirmed addresses are associated to the PayPal account holder and are considered safe.
- Shipping to an unconfirmed address is risky.
- Be suspicious of any customers who ask to change the shipping address of the order in a follow-up email after the payment is made.
- The items purchased must be tangible and you must have proof of shipment or delivery. Intangible items, such as digital media or services, which cannot be shipped are not eligible.
PayPal’s requirements for proof of delivery can be found within their terms of use. - Respond promptly with any supporting documentation PayPal requests when you file a dispute.
- The permanent address listed in your PayPal account must be in a country that supports PayPal Seller Protection. Review your PayPal user agreement to see if you are eligible.
- Ship all your orders promptly and within the expected timeframes quoted to your eCom customers.
