After processing an order, you may receive a tracking code from the shipping provider. Entering this number into Lightspeed eCom enables the option to send the tracking code to your customer. Some integrated shipping providers will automatically enter the tracking code.
You need to edit an existing shipment to add a tracking code. You can edit a shipment in two different ways.
Adding a tracking code from inside an order
After creating a shipment inside an order, the shipment can be edited and the tracking code entered.
- In the Lightspeed eCom Back Office, click Orders.
- Select the order that is related to the shipment by clicking it's Order number.
- In the Shipments section, click the shipping number.
- Enter the tracking code.
Adding a tracking code from inside shipments
You can view all your shipments in one area in Lightspeed eCom. Here you can select a shipment and enter the tracking code.
- In the Lightspeed eCom Back Office, click Orders.
- In the sidebar on the left-hand side of the screen, click Shipments.
- Select the shipment that is related to the order by clicking the shipment number.
- Enter the tracking code.
