Troubleshooting newsletter subscriptions

You may have a low number of newsletter subscribers in your eCom admin. Or your merchants are not receiving your newsletter. Continue reading to find out how to resolve these issues.


Your checkout is configured to offer customers a chance to subscribe to your newsletter. You should ensure your customers are being offered this during checkout to increase your newsletter subscribers.

  1. In your eCom admin, go to Settings.
  2. Select Advanced, located in the General settings column.
  3. Scroll down to the STORE section and enable the switch labeled Newsletter.
  4. Select Save.

Confirmation URL

When a customer subscribes to your newsletter during checkout, he must confirm a second time by email. Check whether you have added the [[confirm_url]] to the content of the newsletter subscription confirmation email. Without it, your customers cannot confirm their subscription.

  1. In your eCom admin, go to Settings.
  2. Select Notification Emails located in the Website Settings column.
  3. In the list, select the Newsletter Double Opt In template.
  4. Check that [[confirm_url]] is in the content. If not, add [[confirm_url]] in the content area, wherever you want the link to appear.
  5. Click Save at the top-right.
