Available on Professional plans.
eCom (C-Series) has a set of features to help you sell to other companies, known as business to business (B2B). B2B customers may expect access to:
- The backend of their account to view prices and manage their order history.
- Specific product information that speaks to both product users and purchasers.
- Wholesale prices and prices with less markup than retail prices.
To customize the B2B experience in eCom, you can set up:
- Cart & checkout permissions - Registered customers only: Require customers to register and log in before making a purchase.
- User accounts - Approval required: All customer accounts must be approved before customers can log in.
- Prices - Excluding taxes: All products are displayed excluding VAT (Europe) or sales taxes (North America).
If you want to offer specific discounts to B2B customers, you can also create customer groups and discount rules.

Cart & checkout permissions are managed under the Checkout settings in eCom.
- In the eCom (C-Series) back office, click Checkout.

- In the eCom (C-Series) back office, click Settings.
- Under Payment settings, click Taxes.

Selling to consumers and businesses
As well as selling to B2B customers, you may also want to sell directly to consumers (B2C). B2C customers may expect to:
- View retail product prices without logging into their account.
- Be able to checkout as a guest instead of creating an account.
- Access product information that speak directly to them, the product user.
- Access occasional sales on products.
In order to cater to B2B and B2C customers and provide a unique experience for both, you can create a separate eCom store for each group. This means you will have two websites, a B2B website and a B2C website.
Using Lightspeed Multishop
To manage the inventory of several online stores within a single management interface, you can use Lightspeed Multishop.
Multishop is not available for omnichannel (Retail POS (R-Series) with eCom (C-Series)) merchants.
Navigating between two eCom store websites
To make it easier for businesses to access your B2B eCom store, add your B2B website link to your store's navigation in Design > Navigation. Learn more about adding menu options with custom links.
