You're notified about the quantity of unviewed orders via a red icon, beside Orders in the main menu of your eCom admin. You can also be notified using an app or by email when new orders are received.
- To get a live stream and notifications for new orders on your mobile device, install the Lightspeed Order Alert app.
- To be sent a copy of your customer's order confirmation to your email or to other email addresses, follow these directions.
Receive notifications using the Lightspeed Order Alert app
Lightspeed Order Alert is an app you can install on your Apple or Android phone. Follow the instructions found under How Does It Work? in the app's description in our app store. To locate the instructions:
- In your eCom admin, go to Apps.
- Search for Lightspeed Order Alert.
- Click on Free to open the app.
- Scroll down in the description to locate the instructions under How Does It Work?
Receiving a copy of your customer's order confirmation
Prerequisite:
Have a copy sent to your eCom account's email:
- On the left menu of the Back Office click Settings.
- Click Account located in the column titled General Settings.
- Click on the Edit, at the top right of the page.
- In the Account Settings area, activate the Email new orders and save your changes.
Have a copy sent to other email address:
- On the left menu of the Back Office, click Settings.
- Click Advanced located at the bottom of the column titled General Settings.
- Add email addresses in the field titled Feedback BCC emails located at the bottom of the ACCOUNT & SERVICE section.
- Click Save.
Ensuring the Order confirmation & invoices template has content
- On the left menu of the Back Office click Settings.
- Click Notification emails.
- Click Order confirmation & invoices.
- Check there is content in the subject and body. If there is no content, add some yourself or locate the order confirmation & invoices template here. Adding content will prevent you from Sending invoices only after a successful payment.
- Click Save.
