Once you have enabled and configured a shopping service, you will need to give your customers access to the appointment booking page. We recommend adding a navigation button to your online store. You can also manually embed the page or link to it.
You must choose at least one method. Appointments must be booked through the booking page, and cannot be added through your eCom back office.
View the instructions below and select the option that fits your needs.
Adding a navigation button (recommended)
You can add a navigation button to your online store and allow customers to book appointments directly through your website.
- In your eCom back office, select Customers from the main menu.
- Click Appointments, and then select Setup.
- Next to WEBSITE PAGE, click Create a navigation button. You only need to click this button once.
- A Book an appointment button will appear on your online store’s navigation bar.
Embedding appointments
If you do not want to add a navigation button to your online store, you can manually embed appointments instead. You can add this embed code to any page with content in your eCom store. These instructions focus on embedding inside a category page.
- In your eCom back office, select Products. Then, select Categories.
- Create a new category or open an existing one.
- Scroll to the CONTENT section, open the source code by selecting the <> button.
- Paste the following code:
<p><iframe style="border: 0px #ffffff none;" src="https://yourstore.com/bookings/" name="bookings" width="100%" height="900px" frameborder="1" marginwidth="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
- Replace yourstore.com with your eCom store's web address.
- Select Save
Linking to appointments
You can choose one or more of these options to link your customers to appointments.
- Create a category and name it either
bookings
orBookings
. The category URL is automatically created with this title. Leave the content field of this category blank, as merchants will be redirected before they see the content. - Create a custom menu option and set the Link to option to URL. Add the web address of your eCom store, with
/bookings
at the end. - When editing the content of any page, direct your customers to visit:
yourstore.com/bookings
.
