Manage stock of multiple shops in one environment (Multishop)

The multishop tool is unavailable if your eCom store is connected to a Retail or OnSite point of sale. To identify which eCom store you're using, click here.

Lightspeed lets you manage the inventory of several online stores within a single management interface. You do this using the Multishop tool, which connects the inventory of multiple online stores—using product EAN/UPC and/or SKU codes—and lets you then view and manage the inventory of these stores.

When you enable and configure Multishop, you must connect similar products to each other using their product EAN/UPC and/or SKU code, so that Lightspeed synchronizes inventory across all stores. For example, if you sell product X in online stores A and B, it must have the same EAN and/or SKU code in both stores. In addition, if you use product variants (colour, size, etc.), each variant is considered a separate product requiring a unique EAN and/or SKU code.

Once you connect similar products using their EAN and/or SKU code, the Multishop tool also synchronizes the following product information across all stores included in the configuration:

  • Minimum order amount
  • Weight
  • Cost price
  • Article code
  • Track the inventory
  • Allow backorders
The alternative option will also be synced when connecting your products using the EAN/UPC or the SKU code.

Enabling Multishop

Before enabling Multishop, prevent synchronization issues by making sure the following product details in each eCom store you're connecting are identical:

  • The EAN/UPC or the SKU codes
  • Stock level
  • Minimum order amounts
  • Weight
  • Article code
  • Track the inventory
  • Allow backorders

To enable Multishop a eCom store owner needs to:

  • Contact their account manager to activate the Multishop connection.
  • Contact support and provide their shop number and their choice on which option the products should be linked. You can find your shop number in the sidebar by clicking your store name in the top left-hand side of the screen.

Configuring Multishop

  1. You can find the Multishop settings in Settings > Workflow. This will appear as soon as Support has activated the multishop.
  2. In the drop-down, you can select how to connect your products. Select Sync products by and select either EAN/UPC or SKU.

  3. Ensure these settings are the same for each store connected via Multishop.
