In your eCom store, customers can navigate to different parts using either the main navigation or the footer.
Most themes will display the main navigation prominently in the top of the page or on the left-hand side. In order to create menu options in your main navigation use Categories, Links or Blogs. You can also create menu options in your footer using Pages.
Creating menu options using Categories
Add an option in the main navigation by using categories. A category will automatically be displayed in the main menu, with the category title being the name of the menu option. The menu option will link to the category page and depending on the category type will be useful for pointing your customers to products, an index of other categories or to a text category page.
For the category to be visible in the main menu, make sure:
- The category and its parent categories are visible.
- The category has a maximum of two parent categories.
- The installed theme is designed and enabled to display categories in the main menu. If unsure, locate and read your theme manual. For more information on locating a theme manual, click here.
- The category has a translated title for all languages enabled in your eCom Back Office.

Creating menu options using Links
Add an option in the main navigation by using the Navigation option under Design. An alternative to linking to category pages, this method can be used to create custom links to other pages of your eCom store or anywhere on the internet.
For the Link to be visible in the main menu, make sure:
- The installed theme is designed and enabled to display Links in the main menu. If unsure, locate and read your theme manual. For more information on locating a theme manual, click here.

Creating menu options using Blogs
Add an option in the main navigation by using the Blog option in the left-hand menu of your eCom Back Office.
For the blog to be visible in the main menu, make sure:
- The blog has a Blog Post set as Live.
- The installed theme is designed and enabled to display blogs in the main menu. If unsure, locate and read your theme manual. For more information on locating a theme manual, click here.
- The blog has a translated title for all languages enabled in your eCom Back Office.

URL of pages in footer
All pages accessible via your website's footer will be located on your domain at /service. For example, your.domain.com/service/About-us.
The /service address is used for all languages and cannot be modified.
Your eCom store has many default pages such as your About us or a Customer support page that can be found in your footer. Some pages are not displayed in your footer and are accessed through normal use of your eCom store, like the Homepage or the My cart page.
Themes will normally display footer content as a series of links, sometimes organized into lists. For example, the Conform Plus theme displays any custom content pages in a list with the title Customer service.
- In order to edit the way your footer content is organized or displayed, you can modify your store's design. For more information about changing the design of your eCom store, click here.
- In order to hide certain footer options, you can disable their visibility. For more information about editing the visibility or content of options in the footer, click here.
