Hi. How can we help?

Reserving a minimum stock level

Reserve a minimum stock level to ensure you don't sell more products than can be delivered. This is useful when inventory counts are inaccurate or when your eCom store is connected to Lightspeed Retail. Here, you can make sure that your floor model doesn't sell out online.

When adding a minimum stock level, customers will be unable to purchase products that bring the stock level below this number. When stock level is equal to the minimum quantity, the stock level will be colored red to notify back office users. This setting is ignored when:

  • Allow backorders is enabled. For more information about backorders, click here.
  • Track the inventory is disabled. For more information about inventory tracking, click here.
