You can add weights and dimensions to your products. Adding weights is useful when:

• Shipping methods require you to add weights to your products.
• Customers comparing products can view the product weight

You can add weights and dimensions individually, By bulk, or by import. You can also set the default units of measurement.

Individually

1. Login to your eCom Back Office and click Products.
2. Open a product's settings by clicking the product title.
3. Scroll down to the INVENTORY & VARIANTS section and open a variant's settings by clicking on the variant title.
   
4. Scroll down to the WEIGHTS / SIZES section and add numbers in the fields labeled Weights or Dimensions.
5. If necessary, select the unit of measurement for each number you have entered by clicking on the unit and selecting it.
6. Click Save.

By bulk

1. Login to your eCom Back Office and click Products.
   1. For variants of one product: Open the product settings by clicking the product title. Scroll down to the INVENTORY & VARIANTS section.
   2. For variants of many products: In the sidebar on the left hand side of the screen, click Inventory.
2. Enable the checkboxes beside the variants you want to modify. For all variants on the page, enable the checkbox in the top left of the table.
3. Click the item(s) selected button and click Edit.
4. Enable the checkbox beside the values you want to modify, including Weight or Dimensions.
5. Answer the question Are all the values the same by selecting either Yes or No from the dropdown menu.
6. Click Next.
7. Enter the number for the measurement for each variant on the screen in the field labeled Weight, Dimension, etc.
8. If required, click on the unit beside the number to specify the unit of measurement.
9. Click Save.

Setting default units of measurement

Change the default when you sell products that normally require different dimensions than the following defaults:

• In the United States, the default for weight is ounces, volume is fluid ounces and dimension is inches.
• In the rest of the world, the default for weight is grams, volume is milliliters and dimension is centimeters. 

You can change the default units for Weight to grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds. Volume to: milliliters and fluid ounces. Dimensions to centimeters and inches.

1. Login to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
2. Click Workflow located in the Store Settings column.
3. Scroll down to the MEASUREMENTS section and select the units for each dropdown menu labeled Default weight unit, Default volume unit and Default size unit.
4. Click Save.
