2. Connecting your domain to your online store

Once you've decided on your domain and acquired it from a domain registrar (for example, GoDaddy), you need to connect the domain to your eCom store. 

  1. On the left menu of the Back Office, go to Settings > Website Settings > Domains.
  2. Click Add a domain.
  3. In the Domain name box, enter your subdomain, type '.' and then add your custom domain. For example: www.yourdomain

    NOTE 1: A subdomain is required. You can choose any subdomain, such as www. shop. store. buy. etc. See Making your domain without 'www.' accessible for more info.

  4. Choose the appropriate top level domain suffix, such as .com, .net, .ca or .nl.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Take note of the domain instructions that display:

    When you add your domain to your online store, the CONNECT YOUR DOMAIN screen displays. You will need this information when configuring the DNS settings for your domain.

    NOTE 2: You can access the CONNECT YOUR DOMAIN instructions again by going to Settings > Website Settings > Domains and selecting CONNECT YOUR DOMAIN.
